I'm certain that this album will stay my favorite record of 2023. Niescier's compositions are exhilaratingly fresh. Reid's electronic processing to her cello brings a new edge to her sound and Harris' virtuosity propels the music into flight. The communication between the trio is almost telepathic. This album is a driving force of relentless imagination with three of the most exciting creative instrumentalists today. Nicole Mitchell

For me, this is the most inspiring music Mr. Berne's done since his pair of Caos Totale CDs, which are my absolute favorites. I love improvisation, of course, but my ear seeks structure, and many bands provide the former without the latter. Mr. Berne delivers supremely composed structures to support the free conversations of the instruments. One feels like he's hearing the climax of an epic novel. Little James
